ILC evaluators have evaluated National Science Foundation (NSF) informal science education programs and undergraduate curricula development programs, NSF community college programs that include a K-12 outreach component, Annenberg Foundation Funded school reform programs, university-based summer learning programs, and youth development programs supported by the United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta.

What evaluation products and services do ILC provide?

ILC provides research and evaluation products and services. Our data analysts collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data. We write formative and summative evaluation reports. Our evaluators also support clients in using data to develop competitive proposals for funding. During the proposal development process, our analysts will do the following:

Assist the project team with completing their Institutional Review Board application

Make specific recommendations for surveys and observation protocols that have high validity ratings that can be used to collect specific data

Assist the project team in developing a program logic model and an evaluation logic model

Evaluation Expertise

STEM program development and implementation experience to include expertise in youth development

B.S. and or M.S. degree or higher in a STEM discipline or advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in STEM education, educational measurement, educational studies, psychology, sociology or anthropology

Human subjects basic training

ILC inter-rater reliability training

Youth program quality assurance training; and

Knowledge of the literature on high quality youth development and STEM programming
